For more than twenty years St. Michael’s has been filling backpacks for the students of The Neighborhood Academy. This year St. Michael’s is partnering with three urban churches who will help fill the backpacks.

St. Michael’s is once again going to provide filled backpacks to the students at The Neighborhood Academy.

We will be filling 90 backpacks this year.

This year we are asking for monetary donations and we will order all of the supplies to fill the backpacks. If you would like to help to cover the cost of the filling the backpacks, please send your donation by July 30th, payable to St. Michael’s and write in the memo that it tis for TNA backpack project. The approximate cost for each backpack is $35. There are note cards in the narthex to write notes of encouragement to the students. Please fill out a note card and place it in the completed basket so each student gets a note of encouragement.

The young people at The Neighborhood Academy look forward to receiving their backpacks and this is an awesome ministry that we provide to encourage these students to have a successful school year.

With Your monetary donation, each backpack will be filled with the following items:

• 1 “Three Ring Binder” (2 inch)

• 1 Package of Binder Subject Dividers

• Pens -6 gel in black or blue.

• Pencils-6

• 2 yellow highlighters

• 1 Pack Index Cards (100 3x5”)

• 3 Report Pocket Folders

• 2 “Five Subject” College Lined Spiral Notebooks

• Personal Note of Encouragement
