HOSTING COFFEE HOUR
You signed up and now what? It’s much easier than it seems!
Coffee Hour (October – April) and Punch on the Porch (May September) is a wonderful opportunity to meet and chat with fellow parishioners.
WHAT WILL BE THERE
We have a wonderful Sexton who will have tables set up and the coffee brewing.
WHAT HOSTS DO
For Coffee Hour and Punch on the Porch
Prepare food for about 25-30. Suggestions-cookies, fruit, cheese, coffee cake, maybe one of your favorite
recipes.
Prepare Beverages as follows:
For Coffee Hour
Coffee will be prepared by our Sexton.
Cups, sugar, cream, napkins will be put out by the Sexton.
For Punch on the Porch
Coffee will be prepared by our Sexton.
Lemonade, Ice Tea, Water will need to be prepared (one pitcher of each should be enough). Mix for both will be put out by our Sexton and placed on the counter in the kitchen.
Beverage pitchers can be found in cabinet over counter marked “pitchers”. Follow directions on lemonade and iced tea mix canister to make. Fill the other acrylic beverage pitcher with ice and water about half way.
Plastic glasses and napkins will be on counter.
CLEAN UP
Unplug coffee pot
Leave any remaining cups, sugar etc. on the table –the Sexton will take care of returning them to their proper places on Monday.
Place remaining cream in refrigerator.
Dirty cups, plates, silverware
Silverware - rinse and place in white tub filled with soapy water next to the sink by the dishwasher.
Plates, cups - rinse and place in dishwasher trays.
The Sexton will wash on Monday.
