About St. Michael’s
St. Michael's has been celebrating the faith and practices of the Episcopal Church since 1949. Our services combine the traditional rites of worship with a welcoming, relaxed environment. We have a strong presence in the local community and have worthy outreach programs in our local area, as well as internationally.

The Very Reverend Marjorie Bevans is the kind of person you would be happy to meet and chat with at the Giant Eagle or in any other community setting.
She is approachable, personable, and clearly interested in you as a child of God.

A Farewell to Reverend Jack Brownfield ⛪️
The members of St. Michael’s sent Jack off with a portable communion set and beautiful stole.
We will all miss Jack but wish him well as he starts a new chapter in his life!

Holy Hike Season is a Wrap
August 15, 2026 at Mount Davis Natural Area was the last Holy Hike of the 2026 season. Reverend Jack led a small but faithful group to worship in nature.

Food Pantry Donation Schedule
This year to help with the Ligonier Valley Food Pantry we will be collecting specific food items each month.
For the month of September, we’re collecting Boxed Hamburger Helper Seasoning Mix (not the burger!)
Donations can be brought to the church and placed in the basket at the back of the church. Donations for September need to be at the church by Wednesday, September 19.

TNA Backpacks Have Been Delivered!
For more than twenty years St. Michael’s has been filling backpacks for the students of The Neighborhood Academy. This year St. Michael’s is partnering with three urban churches who will help fill the backpacks.
We filled 90 backpacks this year!
The backpacks have been delivered but we are still asking for monetary donations. If you would like to help to cover the cost of the filling the backpacks, please send your donation payable to St. Michael’s and write in the memo that it is for TNA backpack project. The approximate cost for each backpack is $35, but any donation is welcome.
The young people at The Neighborhood Academy look forward to receiving their backpacks and this is an awesome ministry that we provide to encourage these students to have a successful school year.

Memorial Altar Flowers

We’re planning a Book Sale on Saturday, October 31st, with some elements of the Country Day Fair making a return too—the White Elephant, Bake Sale, and the famous Mushroom Sandwiches! We are praying that this will begin the re-establishment of the Fair for next year.

Introducing the St. Michael’s Wish List
There have been numerous occasions when people have wanted to support St. Michael’s by giving a gift in memory of someone or in celebration of a special event. A few months ago a member of the Vestry suggested we develop a “Wish List” for such gifts. These are things that are not in our normal operating budget, but which would be helpful for us to have. So, the next time we have such an offer from someone, we will be able to provide this list of options!
