2026 Kids Sunday School!

It's the new year and that means a whole NEW chapter for St Michael's Sunday school! In the fall, we learned about God's people in the Old Testament. In Advent, we prepared for the birth of God's Son Jesus at Christmas. Now, our stories will follow the New Testament: what our Savior said and did, starting with his baptism in the River Jordan!

Kids of all ages (and parents!) please join us at 9:15. If you have not been to Sunday school before -- or if it's been a long time -- don't worry! We start in the church sanctuary and finish in the classroom. It was great to see so many kids at Christmas, and we'd love to welcome you again.

Kids Sunday school

meet weekly at 9:15!*

Our kids’ Sunday school program is up and running EVERY Sunday morning at 9:15! We’ve already learned about the Good Shepherd, Creation, Noah’s Ark, and Abraham and Sarah. But we need YOUR help to teach young people about God’s plan to save the world and his love for each one of us. Here’s how you can be a part:

1. PRAY for the program, that God would bring more kids to join us and inspire us to teach them faithfully.

2. INVITE young families that you know. Often, people just need a little nudge to try something new, and that includes bringing kids to St. Michael’s!

3. CONSIDER becoming a volunteer! We are all quite busy, which is why we can always use more hands-on deck to share the important work of teaching. Talk to Fr. Jack about how to get involved.

Fall Update

Our fall Sunday school year is off and running! We're learning the story of salvation, starting with Creation and the Old Testament. Soon it will be Christmas, and then comes all of the New Testament stories about Jesus. The same God who created the world, led his people out of slavery in Egypt, and sent his Son to save us, loves each child, too.

Many thanks to the volunteers who have made this possible and to those who have donated craft supplies. The kids really love working on art projects, especially models of whatever we learned about that day, from the 10 Commandments to the Tabernacle and more. All are welcome to join at 9:15am, starting with music in the sanctuary and then moving to the classroom for the lesson.
