There are 7 different forms of prayer found in The Holy Eucharist
Praise—commenting God for his attributes
Intercession—prayer for others
Petition—prayer for oneself
Confession—confessing one’s sins
Self-oblation—offering oneself to God
Adoration—awe, appreciating God for who He is, like adoring your first child
Thanksgiving—giving thanks to God
The Proper—changes every Sunday

The Ordinary—stays the same each Sunday through the liturgical season
