Dear St. Michael’s Parish Family,
We are overdue for providing you with an update. The period for receiving applications for our new Rector officially closed on February 28. We feel we received a very good group of candidates - thanks to your prayers! Please remember we are bound by confidentiality with regard to the candidates - who they are, where they are from and even how many we have received.
The next phase of our work will be to review and evaluate the candidates for the skills and demeanor in our next rector that we outlined in our Parish Profile. Those whom we feel are a fit for St. Michael’s will advance to the interview stage.
As we enter into this next phase of discernment we covet your prayers and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
O God, by whom the meek are guided in judgment, and light rises up in darkness for the godly: Grant us, in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would have us to do, that the Spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices, and that in your light we may see light, and in your straight path we may not stumble; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
